Because quotes and hourly rates leave you guessing what a job will actually cost. You get the number before I start, and that's the number you pay — no agency day rates, no surprise invoice at the end. If something you ask for falls outside what the fixed price covers, I'll tell you before any work begins, not after. A bit like calling a handyman rather than a contractor for a job that doesn't need one.
