What a branding package includes

A branding package for a UK small business is the set of files and rules that keep the business looking the same everywhere it appears: a logo drawn in usable print and screen formats, a primary and secondary colour palette with hex, RGB and CMYK codes, a typeface pairing for headings and body text, and a written guidelines document telling anyone who touches the brand how to apply it. HELYI offers fixed-price brand identity design from £300, handled directly by Lou.

What you get

  • check_circle Logo design (3 initial concepts, 2 revision rounds)
  • check_circle Primary and secondary colour palette with hex, RGB, and CMYK codes
  • check_circle Typography system — display font, body font, and usage rules
  • check_circle Brand guidelines PDF — how to use your brand correctly
  • check_circle Business card design — full identity tier
  • check_circle Social media profile templates (profile picture, banner/cover image) — full identity tier

What is in the guidelines document

The guidelines PDF is what someone else follows when you are not there to ask. It sets the clear space around the logo and the smallest size it can be used at, shows correct and incorrect logo usage, lists every colour code and where each colour is meant to be used, and fixes the type hierarchy for headings, subheadings and body text. The full identity document goes further, covering photography style, tone of voice and worked usage examples.

What I need to start

  • Your business name and what the business actually does
  • Who your customers are
  • Brands or looks you like, and ones you do not
  • Where the logo will be used: signage, embroidery, vehicles, dark backgrounds
  • Who signs the work off

Questions

What's the difference between logo + guidelines and full brand identity?

Logo + guidelines gives you the core system: logo, colours, typography, and a guidelines doc. Full brand identity adds business card design, social profile templates, and a more in-depth guidelines document covering photography style, tone of voice, and usage examples.

Do I need a brand identity or just a logo?

If you're just starting out or updating one touchpoint, a logo is fine. If you're launching a new business or rebranding properly, a full identity is worth doing once and doing right — it pays off every time you commission new materials.

What if I already have a logo but need guidelines?

That's a common request. I can build brand guidelines around an existing logo — just mention it when you book.

How a branding project runs

Logo + brand guidelines takes about 10 working days; a full brand identity takes 20–30. You send the brief, I come back with three logo concepts, you choose one direction, and that concept goes through two revision rounds. Once the logo is signed off I build the colour palette and type system around it, write the guidelines document, and send the final files.
